It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to have a piece of art to warm a corner in your home office and perhaps you’ve been inspired by a poem and want to see if those words can be brought to life visually. This is one example of how a conversation about commissioning a painting happens.

My commissioning process generally includes an initial meeting to discuss the concept, and if appropriate visiting the client's space to see and measure where the painting will hang. I may also prepare an intermediate sketch, and there is regular communication with the client during the work in progress to ensure we’re on the right path together.
